Singh Dhoni becomes fourth batsman to complete fastest 8,000 ODI runs
on 31 jan 2014. Mahendra Singh Dhoni complete 8,000 runs in one-day
cricket during the fifth and final ODI against New Zealand in Wellington
on Friday.
Dhoni has taken 214 innings to touch the landmark and Sourav Ganguly (200 innings), Sachin Tendulkar (210 innings) and Brian Lara (211 innings) in the list of fastest batsmen to score 8000 ODI runs.
Dhoni has surpassed the likes of Saeed Anwar (218 innings), Desmond Haynes (219 innings), Ricky Ponting (220 innings) and Chris Gayle (221 innings).
